Love Hotels
We were in a hurry walking to the bunraku theater and this is all I had time to snap a picture of. We walked down a street filled with love hotels. Love hotels are places you bring girlfriends, wives, dates etc. when you are unable to find privacy at home, which is a very common situation in Japan. There were much more interesting ones than Hotel 69, such as Hotel Little Chapel Christmas, which had a largish santa statue hovering above the door and a Japanese-style yuletide charm to it.
